Cornelia Simon Nutbrown

Cornelia started out studying Conservation Biology at Oxford Brookes University before completing a Masters of Research at University College London in Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation. Her interests focus on how molecular biology and genetics can be used to inform conservation management and policy decisions, specifically in marine environments. She started her NERC funded iCASE PhD in 2018 working jointly with Lyell Centre of Earth and Marine Science Technology, Heriot Watt University; The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh and Scottish Natural Heritage.

Project: Using genetics, physiology and modelling to improve marine ecosystem conservation.
